HGV 1 Driver (CE)- Leith
Temp to Perm | 48 Hours per Week | Competitive Pay
Manpower are recruiting HGV Drivers (LGV C & E) on behalf of a well-established and industry-leading operation based in Leith. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver looking for long-term stability, varied work, and a permanent role following a successful temporary period. The role involves the safe and efficient delivery of bulk and bagged products, operating LGV vehicles while providing a high standard of customer service.
Working Hours & Shifts
- Average 48-hour working week
- Flexible start times to meet operational demand
- Shift-based working
- Participation in a weekend working rota
- Temporary to permanent opportunity after 12 weeks

- Minimum 8 hours guaranteed per shift

Key Responsibilities
- Safely operating LGV C & E vehicles in line with legislation and company procedures
- Delivering bulk and bagged products to customer premises
- Manual handling of bagged deliveries when required
- Loading and discharging bulk product following safe operating procedures
- Completing vehicle checks, defect reports, and all relevant driver paperwork
- Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Providing a professional and customer-focused service at all times
- Working collaboratively as part of a wider transport and distribution team
- Supporting the training and development of colleagues when required
Essential Requirements
- Valid LGV C & E licence
- Driver CPC (DCPC) qualification card
- Digital Tacho Card
- Strong knowledge of:
- EU Driver's Hours
- Road Transport Directive (RTD)
- Highway Code
- Comfortable with manual handling
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Awareness of food hygiene standards
- No major DR or DD convictions (insurance requirements)
