HGV Class 1 in Belfast

Job Title: HGV Driver (Class 1)
Location: Northern Ireland
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £36,000+
Expected Hours: 45 per week
We are currently seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Driver to join a well-established logistics and freight forwarding team. Working a consistent Monday to Friday schedule (7am – 5pm), the successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods to various locations across Northern Ireland.
This position requires a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and excellent time management, with the driver playing a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate HGV and trailer units in full compliance with traffic laws and company safety standards
• Transport and handle container and curtainsider trailer loads
• Secure loads properly to ensure safe transit
• Perform daily vehicle checks, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and records
• Communicate effectively with the in-house transport team regarding schedules and any delays
• Optimize routes to improve efficiency and reduce fuel consumption
• Adhere to all relevant company policies and procedures
• Undertake other duties as required

Requirements:

• Full HGV Class 1 Licence
• Driver CPC qualification
• Full, clean UK driving licence
• Minimum 2 years\’ experience with HGV container driving
• Proven experience with both container and curtainsider trailer loads
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work overtime when required

• Day shift: 7am – 5pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)

Experience:

• HGV Container Driving: 2 years (required)
