You'll ensure site security through proactive patrols, deliver exceptional visitor service, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment overnight, perfect for security-minded individuals who thrive independently in unique waterside settings.
Joining the night team, you'll provide high-visibility security and customer service across marina, boatyards, and visitor areas. This hands-on position blends patrols, access control, and light maintenance to safeguard vessels, premises, and guests.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular foot patrols; log/report security/safety issues via mobile app.
- Inspect vessels, buildings, vehicles for hazards; secure perimeter/gates.
- Greet visitors/contractors, manage traffic flow, log details, issue passes.
- Complete daily checklists, emergency preparedness, and ad-hoc upkeep (litter, tidying).
- Respond calmly to incidents; liaise with emergency services if needed.
- Uphold professional, friendly standards at all times.
- Proven night watch/security personnel with marina, estate, or site experience who excel solo and prioritise customer care.
- Essential: Competent swimmer (pool/river test during induction). Night patrol/security background; SIA badge advantageous. Self-reliant with sharp observation skills and initiative.
- Desirable: Basic maintenance (lock checks, minor fixes, cleaning). Customer-facing experience (enquiries, conflict de-escalation). Full clean driving licence; comfortable outdoors in all weathers.
