We are looking for a hands-on Lead Maintenance Engineer to join our client and oversee the engineering team and keep our fast-paced food manufacturing site running safely and efficiently. You will be the on-shift technical expert, supporting engineers, resolving breakdowns, and driving continuous improvement. Working a double day shift, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support shift engineers; act as the main technical point of contact.
- Ensure all engineering work meets health, safety, and food safety standards.
- Carry out and coordinate PPM and reactive maintenance on automated and manual equipment.
- Diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical faults.
- Monitor equipment performance and downtime, driving improvement actions.
- Maintain accurate shift reports and maintenance records.
- Lead CI activities, and support equipment installations/commissioning.
- Provide strong coaching, mentoring, and clear shift handovers.
What You'll Need
- Multi-skilled engineer (electrical bias preferred).
- Experience leading engineering teams in FMCG/food manufacturing or looking for the next step in your career.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
