Our client is a successful manufacturer with sites across the UK, producing and selling a range of top products to customers across the UK and Ireland. Based at their site in Lisburn, we are looking for a Facilities Technician to join the team, providing maintenance and repairs across the site to ensure operations run efficiently.
Suitable candidates will need to be Level 3 apprentice qualified in Electrical Installations/Electrical Engineering. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 7am - 3pm, with a competitive salary in the £27 - 39k range. The Role:
- Providing an effective maintenance and repair service to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.
- Conducting planned preventive maintenance for all company buildings and utilities.
- Carrying out routine maintenance on A/C units, air compressors, fire alarms, emergency lighting, power, heating, plumbing, joinery, and other facilities.
- Completing maintenance logs and schedules in compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company standards.
- Liaising with and assisting external contractors on-site.
- Ensuring adequate supplies of commonly used or long lead-time spare parts.
- Creating and updating technical files for plant and equipment.
- Conducting regular Health & Safety inspections and taking corrective action as required.
- Undertaking minor mechanical, plumbing, and joinery repairs.
- Installing electrical work and conducting P.A.T. testing.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing processes and procedures.
What We're Looking For:
- Time-served fully qualified Electrician with 18th Edition.
- Proven experience as a Facilities Technician, with expertise in building repairs and maintenance.
- Competency in P.A.T. testing.
- Ability to carry out minor plumbing, joinery, and electrical installations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and methodical approach.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
