Workplace Support Assistant Newcastle upon Tyne Β£13.00 per hour Temporary Contract - 8 Weeks Monday to Friday | 8:30am to 4:30pm | 37.5 Hours per Week We are currently recruiting for a Workplace Support Assistant to join a busy and professional workplace team in Newcastle on an 8-week temporary assignment. This is a hands-on role supporting the day-to-day running of a large site. You'll play an important part in ensuring workplace areas remain safe, organised, well-stocked and fully operational. The role involves being active throughout the day, carrying out workplace checks, managing deliveries and stock, restocking supplies and identifying any issues that require attention. Strong communication skills are essential, as reporting concerns and providing regular updates to the management team will form a key part of the role. Key Responsibilities Receiving, checking and distributing deliveries across the site Restocking vending machines, workplace supplies and essential stock items Monitoring stock levels and notifying management when replenishment is required Carrying out regular workplace inspections and audits Identifying and reporting health and safety concerns, hazards and workplace issues Ensuring office, communal and workplace areas remain safe, tidy and operational Supporting manual handling tasks, including moving office furniture and workspace equipment when required Assisting with workspace set-ups and site changes Liaising with colleagues, contractors and workplace teams Providing clear and consistent updates on issues identified across the site About You To be considered for this role, you should have: Previous experience in a facilities, workplace support, warehouse, stores, logistics or similar hands-on role Good awareness of health and safety practices Experience with manual handling duties The ability to safely move and reposition workplace furniture and equipment Strong communication skills, both verbal and written A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail Confidence to identify, report and escalate issues when required The ability to work independently and manage a varied workload What's On Offer?
