This role is within a global engineering and professional services organisation that delivers technically complex projects across infrastructure, buildings, energy, and industrial sectors. The successful candidate will take ownership of projects, leading design teams and working alongside creative professionals with a shared goal of design excellence. The role involves working on complex projects of varying size and scale, from concept through to on-site delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate multi-discipline design teams.
  • Deliver projects from concept, through detailed design, to on-site completion.
  • Ensure design coordination, interface resolution, and clash detection across teams.
  • Advise on materials selection, specifications, and detailed design solutions.
  • Maintain consistency and accuracy in all project outputs.
  • Mentor and support professional development of team members.
Candidate Requirements:
  • RIBA Part 3 qualification or CIAT accreditation.
  • 5-10 years' experience on complex projects across multiple sectors.
  • Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and the RIBA Plan of Work.
  • Experience working directly with clients and contractors while leading design teams.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD; experience with collaboration software (e.g., Navisworks) desirable.
  • Knowledge of BIM model federation, model checking, clash/interface management, and on-site project coordination.
Skills and Personal Qualities:
  • Strong interpersonal, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and positive attitude.
  • Effective team player, consistently contributing to project success.
