We are currently seeking an interim Deodorant Marketing Manager to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple, and become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment. The position is based in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey. This is a full-time temporary role to run for 6 months, requiring 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying up to £85,000 per annum, pro rata, depending upon experience. The role currently offers a mix of remote and onsite working, subject to adjustment based on business requirements.
An opportunity has become available to work across multiple brands and support the team to accelerate the development and execution of our strong pipefill of innovation and renovation activities across Dove and Sure, the 2 biggest brands in the category.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the team to deliver/track 2025 plans including new opportunities to deliver P&L ambition and grow market share.
- Input into our brand annual planning process. Work with cross functional teams including customer teams, category, supply chain etc to build robust plans for 2026 that will grow our customer categories and drive our category P&L ambition.
- Work collaboratively with our global colleagues to shape 2026 activity plans including innovation, renovation and communication plans using local consumer and shopper insights.
- Work with media, agency partners and global teams to shape 2026 social first plans and create desire at scale by putting our brands at the heart of culture relevant to our consumers.
- Own the planning and execution of specific projects within the Dove and Sure plans to contribute to the overall Deodorant category growth ambition.
- Lead the quarterly review of our unmissable brand superiority results and create an action plan to address key drivers.
- Support the Deo category director across multiple areas e.g. business review meeting, customer presentations, category trade PR etc.
- Be a key member of the Deodorant team, inputting into the category discussions, leading and coaching other members in the team and championing our high-performance culture.
Key Requirements
- Proven leadership abilities and marketing capabilities for creating great brand experiences. Must have FMCG or Retail Marketing Manager experience in the UK market.
- Demonstrated strong commercial understanding and creativity, the ability to inspire and lead agencies and partners to create a full funnel brand experience tapping into consumer insights and social first media landscape to deliver enriching consumer journeys that drive talk ability and commercial business impact.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong creativity with proven track record of turning insights into action, and strong entrepreneurial skills and project management experience are vital.
- The role includes the need to exercise judgment in coordinating and implementing various projects to completion under tight deadlines and to be able to lead a portfolio of projects and influence others.

Kingston working environment: Contractors who are based at Kingston will be eligible to get free parking at a local carpark. A canteen and a Gym is available for use on the Ground Floor (with subscription). Facilities in the gym include cardiovascular equipment, resistance machines, spin bikes, free weights area, boxing equipment and a stretch/matted area. Classes are also available and can be booked directly with the Gym. Shower facilities are available in the changing rooms, along with hairdryers.
