Assembly Operators Coventry £13.92 per hour plus shift allowance Mornings / Afternoons and Night shifts Up to 14 months work - November start dates Manpower is recruiting Assembly Operators to join a secure, high-profile manufacturing project based in Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work on a prestigious programme with potential to last up to 14 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble products and components in line with standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the assembly process and report any defects or non-conformances.
- Operate assembly equipment, hand tools and machinery safely and effectively.
- Work to production targets and customer delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards and participate in 5S activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Support stock movements, material handling and replenishment activities where required.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve operational objectives.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, assembly or warehouse environment.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to follow written work instructions and procedures.
- Understanding of quality standards and safe working practices.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience of lean manufacturing, Kaizen or continuous improvement.
- Mechanical or electrical assembly experience.
- Knowledge of 5S and problem-solving methodologies.
- Experience using production systems or handheld scanners.
