Job Description Field Service Engineer\n \nAbout the Role\n \n \n We are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer on behalf of an established UK engineering business specialising in security entrance and access control solutions. \n \n This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys fault finding, customer interaction and working independently in a field-based environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of electro-mechanical equipment across customer sites in London and around the M25 corridor. \n \n The role involves planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdown support and installation assistance, ensuring customers receive a professional and efficient service at all times. \n \nKey Responsibilities\n \n \n Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits on customer equipment. \n Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults. \n Attend customer sites to complete reactive service and breakdown work. \n Ensure all service visits are completed to a high standard and within agreed service levels. \n Complete service reports and associated documentation accurately and on time. \n Maintain company vehicle stock levels and manage spare parts effectively. \n Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal technical support teams. \n Follow all health, safety and compliance procedures. \n Ensure company equipment, tools and vehicles are maintained correctly. \n Support technical improvements and contribute to continuous service excellence. \n Participate in occasional out-of-hours, weekend and overnight travel when required. \n \n \nAbout You\n \n \n To be successful in this role, you will ideally have experience working as a: \n \n Field Service Engineer \n Service Technician \n Mobile Engineer \n Electro-Mechanical Engineer \n Electrical Maintenance Engineer \n Access Control Engineer \n Security Systems Engineer \n Automatic Door Engineer \n Gate Automation Engineer \n \n \nEssential Skills & Experience\n \n \n Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills. \n Electrical and/or mechanical engineering experience. \n Experience working on electro-mechanical equipment. \n Excellent customer service and communication skills. \n Ability to work independently and manage your own workload. \n Competent IT skills with experience completing digital service records. \n Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability. \n Full UK Driving Licence. \n \n \nDesirable Experience\n \n Experience within any of the following sectors would be advantageous: \n \n Access Control \n Security Systems \n Automatic Doors \n Entrance Control Systems \n Turnstiles \n Barriers and Gates \n Fire & Security \n Lift Engineering \n Building Services \n Facilities Maintenance \n \n \nWhat's on Offer\n \n \n Permanent position with a growing engineering business. \n Company vehicle and tools provided. \n Ongoing technical training and development. \n Opportunity to work with industry-leading equipment. \n Career progression opportunities within engineering and technical support. \n Overtime opportunities available. \n Supportive and collaborative engineering team. \n \n If you receive suspicious outreach claiming to be from us, please contact us via the ManpowerGroup website. \n \n JBRP1_UKTJ
