Location: Redditch

Salary: £30,866 - £36,135 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours: 39 hours per week, working on a structured rota

Additional Allowance: 15% enhancement for participation in a 1 in 3 weekend rota

Key Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Electrician, your duties will include:

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical repairs.
  • Diagnosing faults and undertaking effective repairs to electrical systems and equipment.
  • Conducting inspection, testing and certification activities in accordance with BS7671 regulations.
  • Ensuring all electrical systems remain safe, compliant and operational.
  • Supporting the maintenance of a secure and well-managed environment.
  • Working independently as well as collaboratively within a wider facilities management team.
  • Completing associated maintenance documentation and records accurately.
  • Adhering to all Health & Safety legislation, risk assessments and safe systems of work.

Skills & Experience Required

Essential

  • Level 2 Electrical Installation qualification or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification (17th Edition candidates will also be considered with the willingness to upskill).
  • Previous experience within maintenance, facilities management, building services, or a similar environment.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • Proactive approach to work with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
  • Good organisational and communication skills.
  • Basic IT literacy.

Desirable

  • Experience working within secure, highly regulated, or critical environments.
  • Knowledge of electrical testing and inspection procedures.
  • Understanding of wider building services systems.
