About the Role:
Are you an experienced aircraft engineering professional with a strong background in rotary wing military aviation? Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Supervisor (Any Trade) to join the Wildcat Maritime Force at RNAS Yeovilton. This role is pivotal in supporting aircraft maintenance and defect rectification for 815 and 825 Naval Air Squadrons, ensuring operational excellence in a highly regulated environment.
You’ll be responsible for coordinating daily workloads, supervising engineering teams, and ensuring compliance with MOD and client quality and safety standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team supporting critical defence operations.
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience:
- Minimum 6 years in an airworthiness environment.
- At least 6 months working on Wildcat/Lynx or rotary military aircraft within the last 24 months.
- Previous supervisory experience in aircraft engineering.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
- Excellent understanding of Wildcat Maritime Force aircraft systems and support equipment.
- Proficient in project planning, lean operations, and engineering safety compliance.
- Skilled in using Naval Air Publications and Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (C-IETP).
- Familiarity with Health & Safety, COSHH, and quality assurance practices.
Qualifications:
- Service Certificate of Competency (CoC) or ability to complete CoC Supervisory Management and Aircraft Documentation Course within 3 months.
- Maintenance Human Factors Course (completed or able to complete).
- Thorough understanding of airworthiness regulations (MAA and MAOS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily engineering tasks across the Wildcat Maritime Force.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and client policies.
- Support operational performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct inspections and provide second signature authorisation within trade group.
- Mentor and train technicians as required.
