Maintenance Electrician - HMP Haverigg
Location: HMP Haverigg, near Millom, Cumbria (LA18 4NA)
Salary: £30,866-£36,135 + 15% weekend allowance | Permanent | 39 hours per week
Hours: 1 in 3 weekends on a rota; weekday and weekend shifts generally start at 08:00.
Manpower is recruiting a Maintenance Electrician for a long-term facilities maintenance contract at HMP Haverigg. Join a supportive on-site team maintaining essential electrical systems in a secure environment, with training and progression opportunities.
The role
- Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance and fault-finding.
- Complete minor electrical works, testing and inspections to BS 7671.
- Maintain safe, compliant systems and support wider facilities duties.
What you'll need
- Level 2 electrical qualification and 18th Edition (17th considered with upskilling).
- Electrical maintenance, health and safety and planned preventive maintenance (PPM) knowledge.
- Confidence working independently and at height; knowledge of Electricity at Work Regulations.
