My Client, a specialist manufacturing business designing and building lights for Aerospace, Maritime and contract markets, is expanding and hiring a Production Supervisor to help keep production running smoothly. This is a new role reporting directly to the Production Manager-ideal if you enjoy leading from the floor, keeping standards tight, and supporting a team to deliver efficient, high-quality output.
What you'll be doing:
- Oversee the assembly environment to support efficient manufacture and consistent adherence to procedures
- Ensure traceability throughout the manufacturing process
- Drive day-to-day compliance with safety protocols and operational standards
- Train, mentor and motivate team members on equipment usage and assembly procedures
- Support troubleshooting of mechanical issues with manufacturing equipment, and coordinate repairs when needed
- Help implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience working in a manufacturing setting, with ISO 9001 knowledge (ideally within a regulated market)
- Supervisory experience of 3 years and manufacturing experience of 2 years
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to motivate a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine team-player mindset
- Confidence working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail
- Familiarity with manufacturing safety and compliance expectations
- Strong problem-solving ability, including hands-on mechanical troubleshooting support
Additional information:
- Full-time, permanent position, 41.5 hours per week
- Salary: £31,000-£35,000 per year depending on experience
- Hours: Monday - Thursday 8.00am - 5pm with a 4pm finish on a Friday
