Maintenance Mechanical Engineer We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanical Engineer to join a busy estates maintenance team supporting critical building services within a complex environment. Essential Criteria Recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship. City & Guilds Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing Services, or equivalent qualification. Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, fault finding and repairs. Experience working on heating, plumbing, hot and cold water, HVAC, steam and mechanical building services systems. Ability to diagnose and repair faults on mechanical plant and equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and maintenance procedures. Good communication, problem-solving and organisational skills. Basic IT skills and experience completing maintenance records. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Flexible approach to working hours, including participation in on-call and weekend working where required. Comfortable working at height, in confined spaces and within safety-critical environments. Desirable Criteria Experience within healthcare, facilities management, manufacturing, education, utilities, or other highly regulated environments. HNC in Mechanical Engineering. HVAC qualification. Knowledge of medical gas systems, water systems, ventilation systems and decontamination equipment.
