Our Client is hiring a Quality Inspector to undertake inspections across the value stream, helping ensure only conforming parts progress through the business-efficiently and to time. What you'll be doing: * Inspect parts from components through to full assemblies, following procedures, work instructions, engineering drawings and inspection control plans * Read and interpret engineering drawings/specifications to confirm conformity * Apply understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) * Use manual and machine inspection measuring equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, FARO arm, CMM, XRF technology and hardness testing) * Raise NCR/QN documentation with clear problem statements * Use business systems and data collection tools (including SAP and Visual FAI, plus others as required) * Support continuous improvement by helping improve the inspection process * Plan and conduct product process audits * Lead basic problem-solving activities and work closely with quality, engineering and manufacturing to keep product flowing What you'll bring: Apprentice engineering An engineering apprenticeship is desirable, although training will be given. 1 year's similar experience in an engineering manufacturing facility. Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings. Ability to operate various inspection and test equipment. Demonstrable ability to work with minimum supervision. Good oral and written communication skills are required. Previous experience as a quality inspector within Aerospace.
