Job Responsibilities
Operate a Class 2 (C) vehicle safely and efficiently in line with legal and company requirements. Complete scheduled deliveries and collections across local and regional routes. Carry out vehicle checks before and after shifts, reporting any defects or concerns promptly. Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent damage during transit. Follow route plans and delivery instructions, maintaining accurate timing and records. Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle to a high standard. Adhere to health and safety procedures, including safe loading/unloading practices. Drivers mate will be provided Required Skills & Qualifications
Valid UK
Class 2 (Category C)
driving licence. Driver CPC
qualification (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence). Digital tachograph
knowledge and ability to comply with tachograph rules. Strong understanding of
UK road safety
and safe driving practices. Experience driving
HGV vehicles
in a multi-drop or delivery-focused environment (preferred). Ability to complete
vehicle walkaround checks
and report issues accurately. Good level of
route planning
and navigation skills to meet delivery schedules.
