We are seeking an experienced Installation Technician to undertake the installation and de-installation of modular units and associated equipment across customer sites. The successful candidate will also supervise and coordinate lifting operations, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with relevant regulations and standards.
Reporting to the Installation Manager and supporting Project Managers throughout project delivery, you will play a key role in ensuring successful project completion and customer satisfaction. When installation work is not scheduled, you will support maintenance activities or assist within the service centre.
Key Responsibilities
Health, Safety & Environmental
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Report incidents, hazards, and environmental issues promptly.
- Participate in safety observations, site inspections, and risk reduction activities.
- Promote a positive safety culture across all projects.
Installation & De-Installation
- Install and remove modular units and associated equipment on customer sites.
- Work in accordance with RAMS, Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), SOPs, and site-specific procedures.
- Deliver projects in line with agreed plans and project requirements.
- Complete customer handovers and obtain sign-off on completed installations.
- Assess units before collection, recording any damage and obtaining customer confirmation.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure all work meets regulatory standards, quality requirements, and customer expectations.
- Carry out quality checks throughout installation activities.
Stock & Equipment Control
- Ensure the correct use and care of tools, equipment, and materials.
- Maintain vehicle stock levels and report shortages when required.
- Ensure all equipment is inspected and fit for purpose.
IT & Administration
- Use handheld devices and internal systems to record work completed, update job progress, and communicate with customers.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and on time.
Customer Service
- Represent the company professionally on customer sites.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with customers and site teams.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service at all times.
Requirements
- CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card (NVQ Level 2 minimum).
- Slinger/Signaller qualification.
- ECS, IPAF and/or PASMA certification.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Lift Supervisor qualification desirable but not essential as training can be provided.
- Strong health and safety awareness.
- Good communication and customer-facing skills.
- Basic IT skills and willingness to use handheld technology.
