Manpower are currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a busy industrial operation in Scunthorpe. This is a hands-on role that will involve operating Counterbalance Forklift Trucks, supporting warehouse and yard activities, and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials across site. The successful candidate will play a key role within the operation, working closely with production, logistics, and operational teams to maintain the smooth flow of goods and materials. Key Responsibilities
Operate Counterbalance Forklift Trucks safely and efficiently within warehouse, yard, and operational environments. Load and unload vehicles, trailers, containers, and storage areas in accordance with operational requirements. Transport materials, products, and equipment safely between designated locations across site. Assist with the loading, unloading, transfer, storage, and positioning of goods and materials. Conduct daily vehicle inspections and pre-use checks, reporting any faults or defects promptly. Ensure all loads are secured and handled safely to prevent damage and maintain operational efficiency. Work closely with supervisors, warehouse personnel, production teams, and transport providers to coordinate workload and material movements. Support stock management and storage activities, ensuring products are stored accurately and safely. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness within work areas. Undertake general warehouse, yard, and operative duties as required to support operational demands. Follow all health, safety, and site procedures at all times. Candidate Requirements
Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, NPORS or equivalent). Previous experience operating Counterbalance Forklift Trucks within a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environment. Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational setting. Willing to assist with general operative and manual handling tasks when required. Strong awareness of workplace health and safety procedures. Good communication and teamwork skills. Flexible approach to working hours, including shifts between 6am and 10pm. Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
