The predicted salary is between 28000 - 42000 £ per year.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician to join the estates team of our prestigious client in Glasgow City Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the ongoing maintenance and development of our campus facilities.
The basic dayshift salary is £35000 per annum for 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday.
Key Responsibilities- Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules across campus.
- Responding promptly to electrical breakdowns and faults.
- Conducting minor installation works, including containment systems, cabling (lighting, small power, emergency lighting), and more.
- Performing routine maintenance on main and sub-main switchboards and electrical distribution networks.
- Diagnosing and repairing faults in a wide range of electrical systems, including Heating & Ventilation (H&V) control systems.
- Undertaking testing of electrical installations and systems in accordance with regulations.
- Completing remedial works following routine inspections or fault identification.
- Making minor alterations to fire alarm and intruder alarm systems.
- Participating in the emergency call-out rota.
- Ensuring all work complies with departmental procedures and Health & Safety legislation.
- Attending relevant skills training and development activities.
- Performing other duties as reasonably expected in line with the role.
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance, installation, and fault-finding. (18th Edition preferred)
- A solid understanding of health and safety regulations.
- The ability to work independently or as part of a team.
