Electrical Maintenance Engineer We are looking for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support the maintenance, testing, installation and repair of critical electrical systems within a busy operational environment. Essential Criteria Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship. City & Guilds Electrical Engineering and/or NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation with AM2 (or equivalent). Current IEE Wiring Regulations qualification. Experience in electrical maintenance, fault finding and installations. Experience working on LV electrical systems, electrical distribution, power supplies, lighting, standby generators, fire alarms and building management systems. Knowledge of BS7671 Wiring Regulations, Electrical Safety Code for LV Systems and Electricity at Work Regulations. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Good communication, organisational and problem-solving skills. Basic IT skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Flexible approach to working hours including on-call, overtime and occasional weekend working. Desirable Criteria HNC in Electrical Engineering. HVAC qualification. Experience within healthcare, facilities management or other regulated environments. Knowledge of HTM 06 Low Voltage Systems. Understanding of mechanical heating, ventilation and hot water systems. Role Summary Responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, testing, inspection and installation of electrical systems and equipment, including LV distribution, power, lighting, generators, fire alarms and building management systems, ensuring safe, compliant and reliable operation at all times.
