Job Opportunity: Cost & Contract Engineer – Turnaround Projects
Manpower Engineering is seeking a highly motivated Cost & Contract Engineer to join our clients dynamic Turnaround Team in August 2025, supporting a major event scheduled for execution in August 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a strategically significant project, driving competitiveness and operational excellence at a major petrochemical facility.
In this role, you will play a key part in cost estimation, planning, contract setup and stewardship throughout the lifecycle of the turnaround – from preparation to execution. Your contributions will directly impact cost control, contract performance, and value delivery across this critical project.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage cost estimates and control systems to support turnaround activities.
- Work closely with Planning, Procurement, and Commercial teams.
- Implement cost and contract management procedures.
- Monitor budgets and forecasts, and recommend corrective actions where needed.
- Support benchmarking and change management.
- Present estimates to leadership.
- Oversee contract administration to prevent leakage.
- Assist in resolving contract issues.
- Lead contractor performance reviews.
- Contribute to tracking scope changes and key performance metrics.
- Proven experience in cost estimation, planning, or control.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and related tools.
- A degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Ability to manage cross-functional activities effectively.
- Experience with AACE principles of Estimating Class, professional chartership, and a background in turnarounds, contract management, or large capital projects is desirable.
