Manpower Recruitment are looking for a Full Time Permanent Commis Chef for an established restaurant based in Chinnor, Oxfordshire. This is a Full-Time role, working 5/7 days and would need flexibility to work Weekends, Evenings and Mornings. The role is paying £25396pa + Service Charge (up to £3000 per year). Live in options available for a small fee. No Monday working as the restaurant is closed. Sunday lunchtime working only. Allocated one extra evening off per week. Split Shifts required between shifts. Car parking on site.

Overall Objective: To prepare, cook and serve meals that meet the standards set by the Head Chef.

A Commis Chef assists a section chef, also known as a Chef de Partie. The role is made up of many varying responsibilities including:

  • Assisting in the food preparation process
  • Cooking and preparing elements of high quality dishes
  • Preparing vegetables, meats and fish
  • Assisting other Chefs
  • Helping with deliveries and restocking
  • Assisting with stock rotation/Cleaning stations
  • Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards.
