What you''ll be doing
- Safely operate 3.5t vehicles on planned routes between mail centres, local businesses and customers.
- The collections andamp; delivery of mail andamp; parcels efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with company procedures.
- Load and unload vehicles safely while ensuring the security of all goods.
- Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
- Work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the wider operations team.
- Follow all road transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Multiple drops per shift, depending on route assigned.
What we''re looking for
- Valid UK Cat B driving licence.
- No more than 6 penalty points and no serious driving endorsements.
- 1 years previous van driving experience within a logistics or distribution environment.
- Strong understanding of UK road transport legislation and vehicle safety.
