Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Tube Bending Setter to support our manufacturing operations in Coventry. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating both manual and automated tube bending machinery, ensuring parts are produced to a high standard in line with engineering drawings, quality specifications, and production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and operate manual and automated tube bending machinery
  • Perform machine checks at the start of each shift to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to a high standard and apply them effectively in production
  • Use appropriate engineering measuring equipment commensurate with the role
  • Check parts for non-conformances and visual defects
  • Carry out own inspection checks (OSV) to QES810-77 standard
  • Work to, and adhere to, production schedules in an efficient and timely manner
  • Inform the Team Leader of any major problems with machines, tooling, or quality
  • Stamp route cards and ensure all work conforms to relevant quality specifications
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement activities and events
  • Undertake training requirements commensurate with the role

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Tube Bending Setter or in a similar tube forming/bending role
  • Strong ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings
  • Competent in the use of engineering measuring equipment (e.g., verniers, calipers, gauges)
  • Good understanding of quality standards and inspection processes, ideally including OSV and QES procedures
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on right-first-time quality
  • Ability to work efficiently to production schedules and deadlines
  • Good communication skills with the ability to escalate issues promptly to Team Leaders
  • A proactive approach to safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement
