Manpower are recruiting a School Caretaker in Nottingham, NG2! We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to take on the responsibilities of a School Caretaker. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The role involves ensuring that the school facilities are well-maintained, secure, and ready for daily operations. Key Responsibilities: Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance tasks, minor repairs, and report any major issues to the appropriate authorities. Security and Safety: Monitor the premises to ensure they are secure and safe for students and staff. This includes locking and unlocking buildings, setting alarms, and conducting regular safety checks. Event Support: Assist with setting up and clearing events such as assemblies, sports activities, and parent-teacher meetings. Grounds Maintenance: Maintain the school grounds, including grass cutting, gardening, and ensuring outdoor spaces are tidy and safe. Communication: Liaise with staff and management regarding maintenance needs and any issues that arise. Health and Safety: Comply with all health and safety regulations and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment. Requirements: Experience: Previous experience in a caretaking or similar role is desirable. Skills: Ability to use basic tools and equipment, good physical fitness, and strong communication skills.
