We are recruiting for an experienced Senior HR Advisor to support a leading organisation within the aviation and engineering sector. This is a pivotal, hands-on role covering a period of maternity leave, providing high-level HR support across two operational sites. Based primarily at RAF Shawbury, with regular travel to the organisation's Oxford location, you will play a key role in supporting HR Business Partners to harmonise processes and integrate two regional HR functions into a cohesive, high performing team.
The Senior HR Advisor will deliver comprehensive HR support across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring all HR processes are efficient, accurate, and compliant with UK employment legislation and internal policies. You will act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, supporting a wide range of HR activities and employee relations matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional HR support across dual locations
- Support HR Business Partners with harmonising practices and integrating regional HR teams
- Manage and advise on employee relations cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, and absence
- Ensure HR processes are compliant, efficient, and aligned with best practice
- Maintain accurate HR data and produce reports/metrics (e.g., via Workday)
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Contribute to continuous improvement across HR operations
Essential Requirements
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) or equivalent experience
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Proven experience managing or supporting a range of employee relations cases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credibility quickly
- Confident using HR systems and data to maintain records and produce reports
- Willingness to work across multiple locations (RAF Shawbury and Oxford)
Desirable
- Experience in a generalist HR role within a fast-paced, global, or matrix organisation
- Additional exposure to complex HR environments or multi-site operations
