Manpower is recruiting a Dining Room Assistant on behalf of our Public Sector client. Location: Pontyclun Contract: Temporary Job type: Part time (30 hours per week) Hours: You will work shifts 1.00 pm – 7.30 pm (any 5 days across Monday to Sunday) Hourly rate: Weekdays £11.44 | Saturdays £16.13 | Sundays & Bank Holidays £20.94 (rising after 12 weeks) The Role You will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to patients, staff, and visitors in our hospital canteen and dining room. We are looking for a motivated and friendly individual to assist with serving food, operating the till, replenishing stock, clearing tables, and managing pot wash duties. Key Responsibilities Serve meals and beverages to patients, staff, and visitors with a friendly and professional attitude. Operate the till, handling cash and card transactions efficiently. Replenish food and beverage stock as needed, ensuring all items are well-presented and available. Clear tables promptly and maintain cleanliness in the dining area. Assist with pot washing and general kitchen cleaning duties. Follow all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards. Qualifications & Requirements: Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude. Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate well with others. Good organisational skills and attention to detail. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is required (Manpower can support with this) The role is subject to satisfactory reference checks and standard DBS check. Manpower pays for the cost of the DBS.
