Digital Prepress Operator (Grade 6)
Location: University Campus, Leeds
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (1-hour lunch break)
Pay Rate: 17.88 per hour
Contract: Full-time, temporary – ongoing

In this key role, you\’ll ensure that digital files are perfectly prepared for printing, liaising with designers, clients, and production colleagues to deliver top-quality printed materials. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and optimize digital files for print
• Perform detailed preflight checks to ensure files meet specifications
• Create accurate digital proofs and check for consistency and colour fidelity
• Troubleshoot and resolve any prepress or file-related issues
• Collaborate with designers, clients, and production teams throughout the process
• Maintain and update prepress software and equipment
• Ensure adherence to print standards, guidelines, and deadlines
• Stay up to date with industry technologies and workflow best practices
• Support the development of prepress procedures and documentation

About You:

• 3+ years\’ experience in a prepress or print production environment
• Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Strong understanding of colour theory, colour management, and PDF workflows
• Experience with preflight software and RIP systems
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills
• Familiarity with various print methods and file preparation techniques
• Experience with variable data printing is a bonus
