Customs & Logistics Officer

Our global client is looking for a Customs & Logistics Officer to join their team in Southampton. This is a full-time, permanent role with hybrid working opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Act as an expert in HMRC customs procedures, ensuring legal compliance Support the finance team with duty deferment account queries Stay updated on HMRC regulations and support import/export operations Manage compliance, risk, and customs audits Liaise with HMRC and other authorities to facilitate clearances Negotiate freight costs and prepare competitive quotations Maintain customer relationships and promote services What You Need: 3+ years in Freight Forwarding, Import/Export Customs Qualification (BIFA – BTEC) 5+ years in customs clearance roles Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Must have Experience with T1 creation, discharge, and setup Ability to manage logistics independently Negotiation skills and a positive, adaptable attitudeIf you\’re interested or know someone who might be a great fit, let\’s connect
