The predicted salary is between 10 - 13 Β£ per hour.

Location: Bridgend (due to its location you must have your own transport).

Job type: Part time

Hours: 20 hours per week

Shifts: Alternating 9.30 am to 1.30 pm or 1.30 pm to 5.30 pm

Rota: 3 week rota working 5 shifts of 4 hours per week with a long weekend every third week

Hourly rate: Β£12.70 weekdays | Β£17.91 Saturdays & Nights | Β£23.24 Sundays & Bank Holidays

This is a dual role combining both catering and cleaning duties. You will play an important part in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming setting for patients and staff, as well as preparing simple, home cooked style meals.

Duties include:

  • Preparing and cooking meals for patients
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the unit
  • Cleaning patient areas, communal spaces and staff areas
  • Following food hygiene and health and safety procedures
  • Supporting the team with general housekeeping tasks as required

Requirements:

  • A confident cook who is comfortable preparing meals from scratch (essential)
  • A good understanding of cleanliness and hygiene standards
  • Some experience of commercial cleaning would be advantageous but not essential as full training is provided
  • A caring and respectful manner suitable for a secure mental health setting
  • Understanding of confidentiality and GDPR
  • Valid Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety Certificate (Manpower can support with this)
  • Standard DBS check (Manpower pay for the cost of the check)
  • Satisfactory references
