Our client operates a major avionics site in Fareham, specialising in the design and manufacture of flight-deck instruments, data acquisition systems, and life-support equipment. They are part of a global aerospace and defence engineering group that provides high-performance sensing and control technologies. Their Fareham facility plays a key role in innovation for critical cockpit and air-data systems.
Role Summary
The Process Technician will be responsible for the rework and modifications to various components and in accordance to IPC standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Compile Test reports and complete relevant documentation as and when required
- Conduct various rework activities and modifications in accordance with IPC standards
- Update and maintain business information systems as appropriate
- Conduct basic test routines at sub-assembly and GA levels
- Build assemblies in accordance with the appropriate procedures
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Knowledge and experience gained from a minimum of two years in a similar production role
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Competent user of Microsoft office packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Must have a methodical and analytical approach to work
- Strong team player
