The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team within a modern, fast-paced food production environment. This is a critical role within the business, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure all machinery and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. As part of a supportive and collaborative team, you will be responsible for maintaining a wide range of electrical, mechanical, and automated equipment, playing a key role in ensuring continuity of production. You will have the autonomy to manage your own workload while contributing to continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain health, safety, and hygiene standards in line with company policies
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical and mechanical production equipment
- Carry out electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis
- Complete planned preventative maintenance schedules in full
- Provide technical support across all departments
- Maintain site infrastructure to a high standard
- Implement improvements to enhance machine reliability and quality standards
- Use CMMS systems to support cost and efficiency improvements
- Comply with food safety, quality, legality, and environmental requirements
Essential Criteria
- Time-served Electrical & Mechanical Engineer
- Minimum 2 years' recent experience in an industrial or high-volume production environment
- Proven experience in fault finding and working with control panels
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Highly motivated and able to perform in a demanding environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
