Plant Services Operator

Location: Stowmarket

Pay Rate: £16.97

Role

To clean all the plant used in the manufacture of solvent and waterborne paint to set quality & safety targets, by hand and using a mechanical cleaner.

To segregate and dispose of all waste to environmental and safety standards.

• Must have or be able to obtain a Forklift license during Probationary Period.

Specific to Area

• Operate the Pan Cleaner to clean pans from production.




• Clean Mixing tanks by hand




• Pump dirty solvent from Services building to tank farm.




• Load dirty solvent from tank farm & Balfour Still sludge tank to road tanker




• Unload clean solvent from road tanker to Balfour Still




• Support the running and monitor of the Balfour Still.




• Ability to learn to drive Forklift truck.




• Wrapping aluminium Kegs for waste disposal.




• Changing valves on pans where required.




• Dropping dirty solvent tanks into portable containers to assist with maintaining waste stream management.
