Their specialist metalworking fluids are designed to reduce waste, improve tool life, enhance productivity, and deliver measurable cost savings for customers.
Due to continued growth in their metalworking fluid sales and technical support services, they are now seeking a Metalworking Fluid Technician to join their existing service team, supporting key customer sites.
Location: Midlands (National travel across the North and Midlands)
Role Overview
The role focuses on providing on-site technical service and support to manufacturing customers, ensuring metalworking fluids and associated products are maintained in optimal condition. The position is split as follows:
- 1 day per week visiting multiple customer sites across the North and Midlands
- 4 days per week based on one key customer site
The primary objective is to help customers maintain efficient manufacturing operations through agreed service levels, with a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental (HSE) monitoring, corrective actions, and technical advice.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out routine HSE monitoring and control of metalworking fluids on site
- Taking remedial action when required and reporting adjustments to customer stakeholders
- Acquiring, recording, and analysing product test data
- Monitoring product usage via a bespoke cloud-based software system
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with regulations and customer expectations
- Maintaining regular communication with internal technical teams and key customer contacts
- Preparing and cleaning CNC machine systems for product trials at customer sites
