Manpower is recruiting an experienced Retail Manager to oversee daily operations at a busy retail outlet based in Llandough.
Role Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a small team, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining stock levels and driving store performance, all while upholding the highest standards of food hygiene and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and support the retail team to deliver excellent service and operational efficiency.
- Oversee day-to-day store operations, including opening, closing, and cash handling.
- Manage stock control, ordering and product merchandising to maintain availability and presentation standards.
- Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, health and safety and company policies.
- Handle customer queries and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Monitor sales and implement initiatives to achieve business targets.
- Provide staff training, supervision and performance management.
- Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming store environment at all times.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven retail management experience is essential.
- Level 2 or 3 Food Safety Certificate is essential.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
