Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services that offers a range of services from Drayage, global freight forwarding & full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions.
We’re looking for full-time, Class 1 Drivers to join us at our site in Motherwell. These roles are temp-to-perm for the ideal candidates. We have a mixture of start times and days available; you will typically work between 10-12-hour shifts.
What you’ll do on a typical shift:
- Multidrop deliveries between customer sites & other depots
- Safely operate your vehicle adhering to business standards.
- In the absence of a customer forklift driver, you will need to use pallet truck & tail lift to unload pallets off trailer.
- Complete relevant paperwork using a hand held scanner.
- Vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness, ensure the load is secured correctly and compliance with VOSA.
What you need to succeed with our client:
- Must have multidrop experience!
- HGV1 licence, Digital Tachograph Card, Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
- No more than six penalty points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.
- ADR preferred but is not a necessity.
- A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card.
- Excellent knowledge of the UK road network.
- A can-do attitude.
