Teams work in highly integrated, multidisciplinary environments on nationally significant and technically challenging projects.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Architect/Architectural Technologist to join a multidisciplinary team in Manchester on a long term contract basis. The role will focus on the architectural design and technical delivery of large scale industrial projects, including work within the nuclear sector. Experience in nuclear is advantageous but not essential for candidates with strong industrial or complex project backgrounds. The successful contractor will take responsibility for key technical aspects of projects, working collaboratively with architects, engineers and specialist consultants from concept through to detailed design.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver architectural and technical design work from concept through to detailed design, with focus on RIBA Stages 2 to 4
- Coordinate design information within a multidisciplinary BIM environment, managing interfaces, clashes and model coordination
- Produce, review and advise on specifications, materials selection and detailed design solutions in line with performance and production requirements
- Work closely with internal teams, clients and stakeholders to support efficient project delivery
- Contribute to the successful delivery of complex industrial facilities and infrastructure projects
- ARB registered Architect or CIAT accredited Architectural Technologist
- Demonstrable experience delivering complex or industrial projects across multiple stages
- Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and the design process
- High level proficiency in Revit, experience delivering to BIM Level 2
- Experience using advanced collaboration tools such as Navisworks, including model federation and clash detection
- Confident working within multidisciplinary teams, with strong communication and coordination skills
- Highly organised, detail focused and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines
This role requires SC clearance prior to commencement. Candidates must be willing and eligible to undergo UK Security Vetting, including meeting UK residency requirements.
