Salary: Base pay £21.70 per hour, 40 hours per week, hours worked over Monday to Friday
Our client is the largest express transportation company in the world, connecting more than 220 countries and territories. We are recruiting for a vehicle maintenance technician to join their team in Leicester.
What You Will Be Doing
- Performing service and repair of company fleet in line with planned maintenance schedules to ensure our vehicles and trailers are safe, legal and fit for duties
- Completing signed service and inspection records
- Completing defect reports and associated paperwork to comply with legal requirements
- Preparing vehicles and trailers for annual MOT testing to ensure first time pass
- Performing ad-hoc vehicle repairs, investigating and rectifying vehicle defects
What Do You Bring With You
- Your skill and applicable licenses and vocational training, e.g., LGV C&E license (class one)
- Knowledge of the use and operation of all automotive equipment and testing/troubleshooting equipment
- Ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy vehicle components
- Experience with welding and basic D.C. electrical troubleshooting skills
- Valid driving licence C+E no DD or DR endorsements
- HGV level 3 in NVQ or City & Guilds
