We are recruiting permanent Dispatch Shift Supervisors / Team Leaders for one of our clients in Grimsby. This is a hands-on role combining dispatch supervision, forklift operation, administration, and physical warehouse work. You will be responsible for ensuring orders are prepared, loaded, and dispatched accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing pallets for dispatch
- Allocating and booking consignments onto the shipping network
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Strapping, securing, and checking pallets
- Recording dispatch data accurately (dates, quantities, destinations)
- Completing dispatch paperwork and system administration
- Supervising and supporting the dispatch team during the shift
- Assisting with production work during quieter periods
- Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed at all times
Requirements
- Valid FLT Counterbalance (B) licence - essential
- Previous experience in a dispatch, warehouse, or team leader/supervisory role
- Comfortable with physical work, including manual handling
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Confident with basic admin and record-keeping
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work rotating shifts
