A leading global professional services and project management organisation specialising in engineering and infrastructure delivery is seeking a talented Architect or Architectural Technologist to join its Exeter team on a temporary contract. This role sits within a multidisciplinary environment supporting complex built environment projects across sectors including education, commercial, defence, energy and residential.
The successful candidate will play a key role in design delivery, coordination and technical leadership across a broad range of projects. They will work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders, contributing to high‑quality outcomes from concept through to delivery. This position offers the opportunity to lead design work in a supportive, integrated multidisciplinary setting.
Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate architectural design work across project lifecycles, from concept through detailed design to on‑site delivery.
- Manage design co‑ordination and interface resolution across disciplines, ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations.
- Produce, analyse and specify materials and detailed design solutions that meet performance criteria.
- Utilise industry standard software including Revit, AutoCAD and NBS; advanced BIM collaboration (e.g., Navisworks) desirable.
- Work directly with clients, contractors and internal teams to deliver projects efficiently.
- RIBA Part 3 qualification or CIAT accreditation.
- 5-10 years' demonstrable experience working across a range of complex architectural projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK Building Regulations and the RIBA Plan of Work.
- Proven ability to lead multi‑discipline teams and deliver design coordination.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD; experience with BIM coordination software desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail and time management.
- Self‑motivated with a proactive, flexible and collaborative approach.
- Comfortable working independently and under pressure to tight deadlines.
