The predicted salary is between 15 - 22 £ per hour.

Location: Ansty Park, Coventry

Rate: £19.59/hr - rising to £20.28/hr once fully trained PAYE - accrue 25 days holiday per annum + bank holidays

Duration: 6 months rolling contract

Shifts Pattern: 1 week of Mornings 6:00am - 2:00pm, 1 week of Afternoons 2:00pm - 10:00pm

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented CMM Inspector to join our quality and inspection team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure that manufactured components meet strict engineering and quality standards for the aerospace and advanced engineering sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program / operate CMM equipment and generate reports to ensure the conformance of product in line with drawing requirements.
  • Operate specialist test and measuring equipment.
  • Provide product assurance support services to achieve production requirements and to maintain calibration and quality standards.
  • Ensure programs and procedures used are the current version/level.
  • Undertake First Article Inspection in accordance with Quality Procedure (QP) requirements.
  • Be accountable for the accuracy/quality and correctness of the task performed.
  • Work to eliminate/minimize undetected errors, which could reduce customer confidence and/or the efficiency of the cell's operation.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with all contacts.
  • Contribute to the team's objectives and performance.
  • Carry out all other tasks necessary in support of the Product and Quality Assurance role.
  • Record and process non-conformances using the appropriate databases.
  • Use of the business system to record entry into stock and make stock adjustments.
  • Interrogate CMM reports and work with team members to improve quality status.
  • Read and follow process layout instruction sheets accurately.
  • Be flexible in working practices at all times.
  • Fill in route cards and any other paperwork clearly as required.
  • Work in an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Inspect and verify their own and others' work with an excellent eye for detail.
  • Work on own initiative.
  • Use cleaning equipment when required.
  • Perform basic TPM activities on equipment used.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience operating CMM or using precision measurement tools (preferred).
  • Ability to read technical drawings and interpret geometric tolerances (GD&T).
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic IT and data entry skills.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
