Shift: Swing Shift (Monday - Thursday - 6 am-1:30pm, Friday - 6am-1pm). (Monday- Thursday - 1:15pm - 9:15pm, Friday -12:45pm-5:45pm)
Duration: 12 months
Rate: £17.42/hour PAYE
About our Client:
Our client is a leading aerospace engineering company specializing in jet engines, avionics, and integrated systems for both military and commercial aircraft. They operate major UK facilities, including maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) sites.
Responsibilities:
- In this role you will be a Warehouse Operator in a storage facility alongside a Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) manufacturing area.
- This role has a strong emphasis on ensuring world-class standards of material flow, storage, accuracy, quality, and kitting in readiness for the PCB program ramp-ups and integration.
- Provide practical support to complete a combination of tasks, including:
- Physical movement of material - picking, packing, labelling etc.
- Control of stock in line with aerospace standards
- Inventory transactions within a business system (ERP)
- Housekeeping to upkeep performance
- Release Work Orders for the Operations team in line with Production Plan
- Fulfil all Material requests during the assigned shift pattern
- Attend daily rhythms to review performance and discuss key performance indicators.
- Apply problem solving skills to overcome queries and provide swift resolutions.
- Support Leadership on process improvement initiatives to improve turn-around-time (TAT), reduce inventory losses, and develop world-class material presentation.
- Deliver on personal goals agreed with Leadership relating to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
Qualifications:
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Material handling experience in a manufacturing environment, including ESD, MSD.
- Ability to manage priorities in line with customer requirements.
- Ability to work collaboratively with wider team.
- Working knowledge of an ERP system.
- Moderate planning and organizational skills.
- High level of attention to detail and effective problem-solving approach.
Requirements:
- IT literate including moderate confidence with PC packages and experienced in use of ERP planning systems or an inventory management alternative.
