My client, a nonprofit making values-led organisation in Wallingford, Oxfordshire is looking for a part-time Qualified Finance Manager to lead and develop the finance function - helping deliver accurate reporting, strong controls, and confident decision-making at group level. 3 days a week - Wed, Thursday and Friday 9am - 5pm. One day can be worked from home but it must be Thursday.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead and develop the finance function across the company, including line and performance management
- Prepare regular management accounts for group companies and provide clear financial insight
- Manage budgets and cash flow, including complex inter-company arrangements
- Oversee credit control, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts and proactive financial risk management
- Drive continuous improvement in finance systems and processes
- Support robust month and quarter-end processes to ensure controls remain strong and information is accurate
- Collaborate with auditors and external stakeholders, and ensure statutory requirements are met (working closely with the Finance Manager - Service Charges)
- Partner with the Executive Leadership Team to support strategic actions within the corporate plan
What you'll bring:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or qualified by significant relevant experience)
- Strong technical accounting ability, analytical thinking, and commercial judgement
- Experience delivering financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
- Proven ability to build and develop teams, with a collaborative leadership style
- Confidence working with senior leadership and translating finance into practical guidance
