We are currently recruiting for a Van Driver to support our client during the following periods:
- 16 November 2026 - 20 November 2026
- 23 November 2026 - 27 November 2026
In addition to these confirmed dates, there may be further ad hoc shifts and ongoing temporary work available for the right candidate.
The Role
We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Van Driver to join a busy team delivering paint and decorating supplies to trade customers, retail outlets, and construction sites.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver who takes pride in providing outstanding service while ensuring deliveries are completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver paint and associated products safely and efficiently to customers and branch locations.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
- Plan delivery routes effectively to maximise efficiency and meet delivery schedules.
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately and obtain customer signatures where required.
- Maintain records of deliveries, collections, and vehicle inspections.
- Comply with all road safety regulations and company procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service at all delivery locations.
- Support warehouse operations when not out on deliveries, including picking and packing orders.
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean, tidy, and professional in appearance.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Previous experience as a Van Driver, Delivery Driver, or Multi-Drop Driver.
- Good geographical knowledge of the local area.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and move products safely in line with manual handling guidelines.
- Reliable, punctal, and professional approach to work.
Desirable
- Experience delivering paint, building materials, or similar products.
- Forklift licence and/or warehouse experience.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures within a distribution or warehouse environment.
