- We are looking for an experienced
Project Buyer to join a busy engineering and manufacturing business in Stafford on a 6-month contract.
Working closely with Project Managers, Engineering and Finance teams, you'll be responsible for purchasing materials, managing suppliers and ensuring deliveries are made on time to support project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Raise purchase orders and manage material requisitions using SAP.
- Expedite supplier deliveries and monitor order progress.
- Source suppliers and negotiate pricing, lead times and commercial terms.
- Support project schedules through effective procurement planning.
- Resolve supplier quality and invoice queries.
- Maintain supplier records and support continuous improvement activities.
About You
- Previous procurement, purchasing or supply chain experience.
- SAP experience would be beneficial.
- Engineering or manufacturing background preferred.
- Knowledge of supplier sourcing, BOMs, Incoterms and export documentation.
- Strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
