Maintenance Team Leader
12-Month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: Band 6-7 £33,241 - £44,130 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Manpower is recruiting a Maintenance Team Leader on behalf of a specialist educational setting in Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced facilities or maintenance professional to lead a multi-skilled team responsible for maintaining a large and varied estate.
Working closely with the Estates & Facilities Manager, you will oversee day-to-day maintenance operations, coordinate planned and reactive repairs, support site improvement projects, manage contractors, and ensure the site remains safe, compliant, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of maintenance and grounds staff.
- Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance across the estate.
- Support refurbishment, repair, and facilities improvement projects.
- Manage contractor activity and ensure compliance with health & safety standards.
- Oversee essential site safety checks and maintenance schedules.
- Deputise for the Estates & Facilities Manager as required.
About You
- Previous experience in facilities, estates, maintenance, or property management.
- Experience supervising or managing teams.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety compliance.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant building, maintenance, or facilities qualification preferred.
- Full UK Driving Licence required.
