Grounds & Premises Assistant on behalf of a specialist educational setting in Kent.
This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, hands-on individual to support the upkeep, maintenance, and presentation of a large and diverse estate, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Working as part of the Estates & Facilities team, you will help maintain grounds, buildings, and facilities while supporting day-to-day maintenance activities across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain lawns, sports areas, gardens, pathways, and external spaces.
- Carry out general grounds maintenance, landscaping, and seasonal duties.
- Support planned and reactive maintenance tasks across the site.
- Assist with event setup, site presentations, and deliveries.
- Conduct routine safety and maintenance checks.
- Support fire safety procedures, site security, and general premises operations.
- Help ensure the estate remains safe, clean, and well-maintained at all times.
About You
- Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, facilities, or general maintenance.
- Practical skills in areas such as decorating, carpentry, plumbing, or basic repairs.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills with a proactive approach.
- Reliable, flexible, and committed to high standards.
- Relevant grounds maintenance or trade qualifications are desirable.
