Overview
The Ash blast worker is responsible for cleaning and smoothing surfaces by using high-pressure abrasive blasting equipment. This role involves following safety protocols and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate blasting equipment safely and effectively to clean and finish metal.
- Prepare surfaces by masking areas that should not be blasted and ensuring proper containment of blasting materials.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure optimal performance, including cleaning components and refilling abrasive as needed.
- Conduct quality checks on blasted surfaces to ensure they meet specifications and standards.
- Keep work area organized, clean and free from hazards.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and timelines.
Key Requirements
- A background in engineering would be essential for this position.
- Comfortable using power tools and equipment.
- Due to the position being on site, you will need to be a commutable distance to Rugby, Warwickshire.
- Proven ability to work safely in a regulated environment.
