What you'll be doing:
- Lead piping and pipeline design oversight across engineering, quality and fabrication-covering large-bore and high-alloy process and utility piping, pipelines, storage vessels and tanks.
- Own and develop project piping and pipeline standards, optimising design concepts and driving practical specifications (pipe classes and piping specifications).
- Identify critical deliverables and calculations, prioritising reviews to confirm compliance with regulatory, industry and project standards-while protecting cost effectiveness.
- Provide technical guidance to contractor-led design, analysis and maintenance of piping and pipeline systems, working closely with other disciplines to anticipate and resolve issues.
- Use stress analysis expertise to spot design optimisation opportunities, including where new technologies, tools and methods can improve outcomes.
- Support mechanical integrity reviews for existing piping-applying fitness-for-service principles, relevant codes and risk management approaches under operating conditions.
- Help shape engineering surveillance and planning by using piping and pipelines insight to prioritise key equipment and value-adding work.
